Erin Brockovich – An Adult Fairy Tale in Reality

Spoiler alert:This blog is focusing on the stories, so it might have spoilers, please do not read it before watching the movies if you do mind.

Erin Brockovich is a movie in 2000. It is directed by Steven Soderbergh. The film itself was nominated for Best Picture. It helped Julia Roberts won the Academy Award, Golden Globe, Screen Actors’ Guild Award and BAFTA for Best Actress.

The film is a dramatization of the true story of Erin Brockovich (acted by Julia Roberts), who fought against the energy corporation Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), which was the “largest in a direct-action lawsuit in the United States history”.

It tells a story of “a true life”, which everyone is living in; it also tells a story of “dreams”, which everyone could have them once in their lives. Erin Brockovich is an unemployed former beauty queen, who got divorce twice and raising three children on her own. That makes her a street-wise, honest, and passionate woman, which also makes her to grab the only chance, probably, to achieve her dreams.

She is caring, smart, brave and hard working. She fight with her boss for the job, she self-taught and researched all the legal and environmental issues by her own; she remembered all her clients details by heart; she proved her value and earned respects from her colleagues and clients. She is just AWSOME!

Robert’s delivery of the lines was flawless. The element that made Julia Roberts a star in Pretty Woman is very much what carried this movie. SHE WAS ERIN BROCKOVICH! There are so many funny dialogues in the film, I still feel it is fun even I already watched it like 10 times!

Are you struggling between your dream and your real life? Do you feel it is too hard to get a new start? Do you want to change whatever you have now? This film is a perfect inspiration!
